A Carol

Where, in this starved shrinking time

With the sun in decline,

Is there light to illumine?

Where, in this cold, shrivelled world

With our hopes tightly furled,

Is there warmth to shed cold?

In this Child

Love’s wild.

In his palm

Lies calm.

In his face

Shines grace.

Pray with me,

“Lux Aeterna Luceat Me.”                                [May light eternal shine upon me.]
